What is LAUREAMKO?
The Student Union is part of the University of Applied Sciences and its mission is to act on behalf of the students and as their representative in the matters inside the school. In short, when a decision is made, the Student Union is asked. LAUREAMKO protects the rights of the students, organizes different events and provides student cards and student discounts.
A tutor?
Tutor, a peer support, is usually an older, second year Laurea student. One of the most important tasks for tutors is to guide the new students to world of studies, school and practical matters of their study programme. Tutors familiarize the new students also into the lively student life and organize the Freshers event for the students together with other actors!
International tutors can either be with the exchange students arriving to different units or with the english degree students.
